Isle of the Dead, the 1945 Mark Robson undead plague horror thriller ("A graves dank darkness smothers the screams of a girl"; "What evil force is loose that empties graves of those long dead... buries those still alive... leaves behind it death - and worse?"; "She isn't dead yet she's buried alive!"; "Appalling! Weird! Baffling!"; "Isle of the Dead will keep you screaming!"; "Graves in frenzy!"; "The living buried!"; "The dead distorted!"; "'Vorvalaka!'...the world you hear only once - for the next time it's uttered You Are Dead!"; produced by Val Lewton; about an army general who, after a war in 1912, goes to an island to visit the grave of his wife, but he finds her body missing, and he learns that the natives dig up old graves looking for valuables, and he declares that he will find those people and punish them, and he soon is involved with vampires and zombies) starring Boris Karloff, Ellen Drew, Marc Cramer, Katharine Emery, Helen Thimig, and Jason Robards Sr.

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned three examples of this title card, and the last one was 8 years ago! The buyer of that card has now re-consigned it to us, so we have still only auctioned three examples of this card! Note that this card has a stamp on the back that indicates it came from the legendary horror/sci-fi collection of Ron Borst (the stamp reads "FROM THE BORST COLLECTION")! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. The card had pinholes and some tiny paper loss around the edges, and some faint smudges and scuffs scattered in the image. Some restorer put tape on the back of the pinholes and performed restoration to the front of the borders only.
