An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Creeper, the 1948 Jean Yarbrough mad scientist monster horror thriller ("From an original story idea by Don Martin"; about a pair of mad scientists who find a serum in the West Indies that can change people into cats, and they use it on unwilling human guinea pigs, or "guinea cats"!) starring Eduardo Ciannelli, Onslow Stevens, June Vincent, Ralph Morgan, Janis Wilson, and John Baragrey. Note that this movie was produced by Universal Pictures in 1946, but there was a shake up in the studio at that time, and they briefly abandoned low-budget horror movies, and so this movie "sat on a shelf" for two years, before it was picked up by 20th Century Fox and released in 1948. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster has completely separated along the upper vertical foldline. It is relatively clean separation and the paper in the area at upper center that appears to be paper loss has actually folded backward and could be carefully restored. It has some paper loss in the upper left blank corner and the top crossfold has been backed by clear tape. The bottom the remaining portions of the poster underneath the upper horizontal fold is in very nice condition, though, so after linenbacking with some restoration to the upper vertical foldline the poster will display really well (but of course bear in mind its condition and the cost of restoration before placing a bid).
