An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) George Murphy was an Irish actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. Some of his movie include: Battleground, Broadway Melody of 1940, Bataan, and For Me and My Gal. In the 1960s, he turned to politics, and in 1964, was elected Senator of California. He passed away in 1992 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by George Murphy! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Also note that the movie ("Cynthia") is called "The Rich, Full Life" on the back of this still, which was the working title for the movie! Condition: very good to fine.
