An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Convention Girl, the 1935 Luther Reed Atlantic City New Jersey romantic love triangle gambling melodrama (about a pretty young girl who works in Atlantic City keeping rich convention goers entertained, and she has a romance with a handsome young gambler and also with a rich soap tycoon) starring Rose Hobart, Weldon Heyburn, Sally O'Neil, Herbert Rawlinson, Isham Jones & His Orchestra, Nell O'Day, Shemp Howard, and "Ned Wayburn's Dancing Girls". Note that this movie was an unauthorized partial remake of Warner Bros.' 1933 movie "Convention City", which had an extremely similar plot. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair to good. There are many tears around the edges of the card. There is paper loss in the borders, but it is almost completely blank paper that is missing. There are many tape repairs on the back of the card and the entire card is fragile. The card clearly has substantial defects, but it is also true that after a simple paperbacking by a talented professional, the card will look great, and will require little paint restoration.
