They Won't Believe Me, the 1947 Irving Pichel romantic love triangle crime film noir ("He lived a lie that led him from one disastrous love to another!"; "Too many women loved him!"; "Guilty of too many loves!"; "Based on the story by Gordon McDonell") starring Robert Young, Susan Hayward, Jane Greer, Rita Johnson, and Tom Powers. Note that in this movie, Robert Young has the great good fortune to romance beautiful young and sexy Susan Hayward AND Jane Greer, and yet he manages to grow tired of both of them!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had creases, smudges, and tears around the edges, with paper loss in the middle of the right border that extended into the yellow background, and a 5" tear from the left of that paper loss extending diagonally up into the yellow background. There were smudges in the yellow areas and a few scattered in the rest of the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
