An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Winds of the Wasteland, the 1936 Mack V. Wright Pony Express cowboy western ("Screen Play and Original Story by Joseph Poland") starring John Wayne, Phyllis Fraser, Lew Kelly, Douglas Cosgrove, Lane Chandler, and Art Mix NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). good to very good. The blank borders of the poster were somewhat tattered, but not the image area. The person who linenbacked the poster carefully placed new paper over much of the old blank borders (it was very well done, and I would think most collectors would not realize it unless it was pointed out to them). There were several extra foldlines alongside all of the regular ones and there was tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. Aside from the tattered borders and the extra foldlines, the poster had few other defects. It was very well restored, and from any distance away it looks great! Learn More about condition grades
