He is best remembered for playing the "Gill Man" on land in Creature From the Black Lagoon (Ricou Browning played him in the underwater sequences). Some of his other movies include: Pagan Love Song, and Hawaiian Nights. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 79. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Ben Chapman! Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who regularly attended the Chiller collectible show. This signed item (and the others offered from this collector) were purchased at a Chiller convention over the years. In some cases, he had them signed by the celebrity when they appeared in person at the show, and in other cases, he purchased them from Kevin Clement, who runs the Chiller shows, and in all cases, he (and we) believe this signature is authentic.
