Pardon My Past, the 1945 Leslie Fenton romantic triangle comedy ("Fred tops everything in his fun-filled past!"; "'He's my husband!'"; "'He's a heel!'"; "'He's my darling!'"; "'Say what am I in this picture, anyway?'"; "You're terrific, Fred!"; "The merriest of down-to-mirth comedies!"; "'Hey, MacMurray... your past is showing!'"; "'Will you look at that MacMurray... in stitches at himself!'"; "'If the picture's that funny... I oughta see it myself!'"; "Original story by Patterson McNutt and Harlan Ware"; about two G.I.s returning from World War II, going to tiny Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, intending to start a mink farm) starring Fred MacMurray, Marguerite Chapman, Akim Tamiroff, William Demarest, Rita Johnson, Harry Davenport, and Douglass Dumbrille. Note that star Fred MacMurray produced this movie himself, and was basically a tribute to his hometown of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, where the movie is set, and where MacMurray grew up!
