The distillery is located in Condom, France and produces armagnac (a distinctive kind of brandy liquor produced in the Armagnac region) which is stored in the distillery's century old cellars. Note the odd place name where this distillery is located in France is "Condom". It was not until 1995 that the town of Condom tried to take advantage of the coincidental relationship between its name and the male contraceptive, and they opened a museum of contraceptives, but sadly, it was not a success, and it closed in 2005. Artist: Raymond Savignac Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some smudges and scuffs scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
