McLeod romantic vaudeville screwball comedy ("The Nitwits of the Networks... give you laughs and tears, thrills and spills, songs and music, dancing and romancing!"; a really crazy story of a rich man who has a daughter romanced by a gold-digging boyfriend, and to test the boyfriend, he makes it look like his other daughter, who is played by Gracie Allen, is inheriting all of his money, to see if the boyfriend switches his affections to her; Gracie misunderstands and starts trying to give away all her father's money by turning their mansion into a boarding house for hundreds of out-of-work actors; George Burns plays the millionaire's secretary) starring George Burns, Gracie Allen (in the title role as Gracie "Cookie" Allen), George Barbier, Betty Furness, Andrew Tombes, and Broadway's Favorite Vaudeville Headliners NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
