An Undated (probably 1946) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

No Time for Comedy, the 1940 William Keighley romantic love triangle comedy ("Just can't make his smile behave!!"; "Can't make her Jimmy behave!!"; "There's something very funny going on here!"; "There was a shy fellow named James who knew nothing at all about dames till he met a Miss Russell... and after a tussle... he learned about women [he claims!]"; from the stage play by S.N. Behrman, with a screenplay by Julius J. & Philip G. Epstein) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Rosalind Russell, Genevieve Tobin, Charles Ruggles, Allyn Joslyn, Clarence Kolb, and Louise Beavers. It seems very unusual to see James Stewart in a Warner Bros. movie, and it is! MGM loaned Stewart to Warner Bros. for this single movie!

Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images).
