An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10" x 12 3/4" [25 x 32 cm]) (Learn More) The Enchanted Cottage, the 1924 John S. Robertson silent romantic melodrama (about two 'ugly' people who find a magical cottage where they look 'normal'; just as in the later 1945 version, the studio copped out by not having the stars look very "ugly" before they transform, so much of the point of the movie is diluted!) starring Richard Barthelmess, May McAvoy, Ida Waterman, Alfred Hickman, and Florence Short. Note that this movie was remade in 1945 starring Dorothy McGuire and Robert Young. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by May McAvoy! Our consignor purchased this card from a collector who had obtained these autographs decades ago. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we feel certain the signature is authentic. Also note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10" x 12 3/4" [25 x 32 cm]. Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two other lobby cards from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good.
