She went to Europe and achieved enormous success (and notoriety) in the Follies Bergere and other shows, because she danced nude in some of her dances. She only starred in two movies, both in the 1930s: Zou-Zou and Princess Tam-Tam, but she appeared in smaller roles in some movies in the 1920s and the 1940s and 1950s. She continued performing throughout her life, and was performing in a stage show, "An Evening with Josephine Baker", right up until she passed away in 1975, at the age of 68. Important Added Info: Note that these stills measure 7 1/4" x 9 1/2". Please do not bid on these stills thinking they are 8" x 10". Also note that on these stills there is a printed paper snipe attached to the back describing the scene on the front (they tell how she is "at present in Berlin", and that she will "shortly open a cabaret on the same lines as her Paris establishment". One of the stills has a printed snipe in English and the other is entirely in German! Both are stamped from the Wide World Photos news wire service, and both are surely original photos!
