An Autographed 7 1/2" x 9 1/4" [19 x 23 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (glued to a board that measures 8" x 10") (Learn More)

Redd Foxx was a black African American stand-up comedian, as well as a film and television actor from the 1960s to the 1990s. In the 1950s, he made a series of XXX rated records! Although he appeared in other movies and TV shows, he is best remembered as Fred Sanford from TV's "Sanford and Son". Some of his other movies include: Harlem Nights, Cotton Come to Harlem, and Norman... Is That You? In a twist of irony, his character on "Sanford and Son" often faked a heart attack on the show and stated that one day "The Big One" would come. When he DID have a heart attack in 1991, those around him thought he was just joking, and didn't seek immediate help. He was later rushed to a hospital where he passed away at the age of 68.
Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Redd Foxx! Also note that this still measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/4" [19 x 23 cm], and it was attached to a board (with two small pieces of tape at the top and bottom of the back) that measures 8" x 10", likely to fit a frame.

Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia collector and dealer from the 1970s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items. Both we and our consignor feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity (unless noted above).

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.

Condition: good to very good.
