eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result ACROSS THE TRAIL stage poster 1890s Lease from Hershenson/Allen ArchiveAn Original Vintage Stage Poster (Learn More) Across the Trail, the 1890s frontier adventure thriller stage play production ("Come on you varmints, come on!"; "A gorgeous scenic, mechanical and natural production"; "Under the Management of Frank A. Mellen"). Note that we can find little information about this production. We did find an 1897 Chicago newspaper ad which called it "Frank A. Mellen's play of frontier life". The poster that we have seen has wild artwork of a man in a ring of fire, shooting wolves (or wild dogs) as he protects a nun and a woman mourning a fallen man, with an Asian and African American black man hiding in a tree in the background. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
