An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Dancers in the Dark, the 1932 David Burton romantic love triangle musician crime melodrama (about a bandleader who has a friend in love with a "taxi dancer", and he sends the friend out of town, but then he falls in love with the girl himself, but a gangster is also in love with her, and the gangster and the bandleader end up being shot, which paves the way for the friend to reunite with the beautiful girl) starring Miriam Hopkins, Jack Oakie, William Collier Jr., Eugene Pallette, and George Raft NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: good to very good. The blank top of the card was trimmed off. There were some pinholes, tears, and smudges scattered around the edges of the image. A talented restorer replaced the missing top area and put new paper over the original blank borders, and then performed slight touch up to the image area.
