An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Get That Girl, the 1932 George Crone horror action thriller (about a woman on a train going to collect an inheritance, and if she doesn't get there on time, she loses it, so there are men trying to stop her from reaching her destination, and an innocent tractor salesman who wants to get to know her gets caught up in it; the most interesting part is that she gets taken to a sanitarium run by a mad doctor who is a cocaine addict and has a nymphomaniac girlfriend, but the salesman rescues the girl before much can happen there) starring Richard Talmadge ("Idol of millions"; "'Ace' of screen daredevils"), Shirley Grey, Fred Malatesta, Carl Stockdale, and Lloyd Ingraham. Note that Richard Talmadge had been an action hero in silent movies, but he was not a native English speaker (he was from Germany), and sound hurt his career, and he appeared in low budget movies like this one, which he also produced. He performed a number of stunts in this film, which those who have seen it say it is pretty enjoyable! As his career wound down, he became a stunt coordinator, and his last major part was coordinating the dangerous stunts in "How the West was Won". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1932 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned any poster or lobby card from this movie until we received this three-sheet! After you realize that Richard Talmadge produced this movie, it is not surprising that he had a three-sheet dominated with his image, and promoting himself as "The Idol of Millions", because no doubt he thought he was still enough of a draw to get people to go to the movie! Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap. Condition: fair to good. The poster is very fragile and has separation, tears, and some tiny paper loss on parts of many folds. The poster is in urgent need of expert professional restoration. But the poster is mostly "all there", and after linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look fantastic, and it will likely require little paint restoration within the image. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored! Learn More about condition grades
