Sanford), Demond Wilson (in the title role as Lamont Sanford), , LaWanda Page, Don Bexley, Whitman Mayo, and Pat Morita. Note that, in the series, Red Foxx's character faked a heart attack when things didn't go his way. Years later, when Foxx was on another sitcom, "The Royal Family", he had a REAL heart attack, but no one believed him because of his previous gags, and he died on the set. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the revised final draft from October 16, 1973 (for episode #0311 "The Members of the Wedding") and the screenplay was written by James R.
