An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Hats Off, the 1936 Boris Petroff Texas romantic press agent musical (written by Samuel Fuller; a wacky story of two Texas cities wanting to run expositions to bring visitors to their cities, and they hire publicists who are male and female to promote their separate events; naturally, they steal each other's ideas and use all kinds of unscrupulous tactics, and even more naturally, they end up falling in love!) starring Mae Clarke, John Payne, Helen Lynd, Luis Alberni, Skeets Gallagher, Franklyn Pangborn, Three Radio Rogues, and "200 Gorgeous Girls". Note that this was the very first screenplay by Sam Fuller, who was only 24! Of course, he would later become famous for tough action thrillers and war melodramas, but this movie was surprisingly a lighthearted romantic comedy!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned two examples in all our years of auctioning and the last time was 12 years ago!

Condition: fair to good. The poster has creases, smudges and some discoloration scattered in various areas (see our image). Some edges were folded back at one time and there are some pinholes around the edges. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this poster prior to placing a bid.
