We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this French poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Note that this is an extremely rare French poster from during World War II! Virtually no French posters survive from during or right after World War II (mostly only some heavy stock lobby cards, and even those are rare). Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some folds, and the poster had darkening on the folds and on the edges of the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
