Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had two extra vertical foldlines, to the left and right of the regular vertical foldline, with many creases along those folds, with tears in the bottom of those foldlines below the title. There were tears and small paper loss in the 3" of the vertical foldline above the "N" of "HEPBURN" and in the 2" below, and there had been tape on the back of that area. There was also paper loss near the top of the vertical foldline in March's hair. There were some tears and paper loss in the bottom horizontal fold. The poster was folded back horizontally 2" from the top and there was another slightly diagonal horizontal fold 5" from the top, and there were some creases, tears, and small paper loss in both those folds. There was a 5" vertical tear beginning at the bottom of Hepburn's chin and extending down into her clothes. There were many tears and some paper loss in the bottom of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. In spite of the large number of defects that this poster had, it still displays pretty well, although you can see some signs of the restoration and there is a tiny chip in the bottom center of the poster in the background area that was acquired after it was backed. If I owned this poster, I would either have slight additional restoration performed without re-backing it, or I might consider having it completely re-backed, although I could well imagine many collectors displaying it just as it is. But please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above and the restoration it has had. Learn More about condition grades
