An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 26 3/4" x 37" [68 x 94 cm]) (Learn More) La Mujer X (literally translates to "Madame X"), the 1955 Julian Soler Mexican family relationship mother-son crime legal lawyer melodrama (about a woman who has a son but gives him to the father when he is a baby, because the father can better provide for him; the son grows up to be a famous lawyer, and he defends his mother in a murder trial without knowing she is his mother!) starring Libertad Lamarque, Victor Junco, Andres Soler, Linares Rivas, and Rodolfo Landa. Note that this classic tearjerker was filmed many times in the U.S., and this was a Mexican version! It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Condition: fair to good. There are various defects around the edges of the poster, and there is wear, small areas of paper loss and several areas of separation along the foldlines and/or crossfolds (the center horizontal fold is almost completely separated). Some of the tears and/or defects described above are repaired with tape from the back. This Mexican poster is EXTREMELY fragile. Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and is more fragile along the foldlines (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great, but it might require fairly extensive restoration).
