An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Our Modern Maidens, the 1929 Jack Conway romantic Jazz Age Roaring Twenties comedy melodrama ("Story and Continuity by Josephine Lovett") starring Joan Crawford, Rod La Rocque, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Anita Page, Josephine Dunn, Edward Nugent, and Albert Gran. Note that Crawford and Fairbanks were married in this movie, although were not yet married in real life. But just a couple months later, Fairbanks and Crawford WERE married, and they had a tempestuous marriage for the next four years! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1929 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two three-sheets, a complete set of lobby cards, and some stills from this movie until we received this insert! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had an 8" tear in the lower right border that went across the upper part of the lower image and turned upward at a diagonal, in kind of an "L" shape. Someone put brown paper tape on the back of that area. There is also a tape stain in the lower right border where there was a small tear.
