An Original Vintage Theatrical Screening Program (measures 9" x 13 1/2" [23 x 34 cm]; 2 pages) (Learn More) Buck Rogers (released in other English-speaking countries as "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century"), the 1979 Daniel Haller science fiction (sci-fi) outer space fantasy thriller (based on the famous newspaper comic strip; "The hero of Tomorrow is here TODAY"; "The original space man! The ultimate trip! Buck Rogers swings back to earth and lays it on the 25th Century!"; "Written by Glen A. Larson & Leslie Stevens"; about a man from the 20th century who wakes up from suspended animation 500 years later!) starring Gil Gerard (in the title role as Buck Rogers), Erin Gray, Pamela Hensley, Tim O'Connor, Henry Silva ("as Kane" on the style B one-sheet but as "as Cain" on the regular one-sheet!), William Conrad, and Twiki (the small robot played by Felix Silla). Note that this was a 90 minute TV pilot, but the producers were so impressed by it that they released it theatrically first, and it did quite well at the box office, and then it was shown as a TV pilot, and there was a subsequent TV series that ran for two seasons. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Victor Gadino Important Added Info: From the 1920s on, studios would create elaborate trade ads, often in full color, and often using the finest artists of the day. They would run these ads in their studio yearbooks and exhibitor magazines, and they would also print those trade ads separately and mail them individually to theater owners, trying to get them to book that specific movie. Sometimes those books and magazines are separated and the ads, which now greatly resemble the individually printed trade ads, are sold individually. The trade ad offered here was printed individually (it comes from the estate of a man who was an executive at Universal, and it was a sample that he took home). It can be framed and displayed (but many trade ads have different images on each side, so one must choose which side to display if it is framed!). Condition: very good to fine. The ad is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
