An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Behind the Front, the 1926 A. Edward Sutherland silent World War I (WWI) military screwball comedy ("You won't have to be drafted to see this picture"; "The Sunny Side of War with Bombshells of Laughter"; "From 'Spoils of War' by Hugh Wiley"; about two extremely dissimilar recruits in World War I who strike up an unlikely friendship, and they are sent to France, where they meet French ladies and cause so much trouble, that it jeopardizes the armistice!) starring Wallace Beery, Raymond Hatton, Mary Brian, Richard Arlen, and Hayden Stevenson. Note that not only did this movie spawn more similar movies for Beery and Hatton, but it also inspired an imitation series starring Karl Dane and George K. Arthur! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
