Vampire Creatures From Outer Space! Beauty Trapped by the King-Sized Mollusks! The Fiend With The Death Ray Eyes!") of Attack of the Crab Monsters, the 1957 Roger Corman science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("From the depths of the sea... A TIDAL WAVE OF TERROR!") starring Richard Garland, Pamela Duncan, Russell Johnson, Leslie Bradley, and Mel Welles AND Not of This Earth, the 1957 Roger Corman science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("Somewhere in this world stalks a thing that is... NOT OF THIS EARTH") starring Paul Birch, Beverly Garland, Morgan Jones, Russell Johnson, Jonathan Haze, and William Roerick NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster, and the buyer of that poster has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Also note that these two Roger Corman movies were released on a double bill in the U.S. in 1957 with an unusual one-sheet, which had two full-color half-sheets from the two movies on it. When the double bill was released in Argentina, the poster designer sort of copied that double bill one-sheet, but converted the images from it to his own art, and he also only put the title and credits of the one movie. The bottom half of the poster had the image of Beverly Garland and the monster from the other movie, and her name was originally printed below Pamela Duncan, putting her with the credits from the other movie, so it made it look like it was advertising a single movie, but her name was then overprinted with red background color, which may have been because she complained about being credited on the wrong movie! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. As noted above, the poster originally was printed with Beverly Garland's name below Pamela Duncan's. Her name was overprinted with the red background color, so you can't see it, and it is part of the printing (we had to hold it to a strong light to tell that it was there). The poster also had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and extra creases along the folds. The borders were folded back and stapled at one time. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
