Goodkind science fiction (sci-fi) action adventure fantasy serial ("The New Universal presents 'Buck Rogers'"; "12 amazing thrill-thronged chapters" "Based on the Buck Rogers newspaper feature owned and copyrighted by John F. Dille Co."; "Original Cartoon Strip by Dick Calkins and Phil Nowlan") starring Buster Crabbe (billed as "Larry Crabbe"; in the title role as Buck Rogers), Jackie Moran, Constance Moore (as Wilma Deering), Anthony Warde, C. Montague Shaw, William Gould, Philson Ahn, Roy Barcroft, and Wheeler Oakman NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had extra horizontal foldlines 1/2" above each of the regular horizontal folds, with a third horizontal foldline just below the regular bottom horizontal fold. There was an oval-shaped area of paper loss in the head of Buster Crabbe at lower right, in the far right of his hair, down through his forehead, and extending into the eyebrow, and the very edge of his eye, extending into the blank white border. There were creases and tears along the bottom folds, with some tiny paper loss, and some creases and tears on the other two horizontal folds. There were pinholes, creases, and tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, with the restorer doing a nice job of re-creating the missing edge of Crabbe's forehead and hair, but you can see some signs of the restoration to the above defects (although it is not very distracting at all).
