An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Music Publicity Still (Learn More) Norman Brooks was a Canadian singer from the 1950s to the 1960s. He is perhaps best known for his ability to sound like Al Jolson and even played Jolson in the 1956 film "The Best Things in Life Are Free". Some of his hits include: Hello Sunshine, You Shouldn't Have Kissed Me The First Time, and A Sky-Blue Shirt and a Rainbow Tie. He passed away in 2006 at the age of 78. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Norman Brooks! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1970s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items. Both we and our consignor feel it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. Condition: good to very good. There is surface paper loss and discoloration around some edges, some of which has smudged the signature at upper left. Learn More about condition grades
