Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 11" x 14" Stage Play Still (Learn More) a circa late 1920s stage play 11x14 of Ferdinand Gottschalk, Robert Greig, Helen Gahagan, and Greta Meyer from the play "Tonight or Never". Note that this still shows Helen Gahagan, who married actor Melvyn Douglas and became Helen Gahagan Douglas, who appeared in the movie "She", and later became a politician, serving in the House of Representatives. Her political career ended when she ran for Senator, but lost to Richard Nixon!. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that this week on eBay eMoviePoster is selling a collection of 43 deluxe 11" x 14" stills that are NOT from movies, but rather are from stage plays of the late 1920s or early 1930s. WE HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY OF THESE BEFORE! While any movie theater might have received 11x14s for movies they were showing, these stage play 11x14s were probably just sent to some New York City media outlets, and were probably thrown away! So we would have to assume that these are extremely rare, and the fact that we have never had any of these before backs that up. Also note that in some case we know the actor or actress in the still but do not know the stage play the still is from, and that sometimes the still has a photographer name at the bottom of the still, but we are not familiar with these photographers. But all of these stills are printed on deluxe heavy stock (just like deluxe 11x14 movie stills). All of these 43 stage play 11x14s are guaranteed to be original, and many have notations on the back as well as stamps showing where the still came from. Condition: good to very good. There is a vertical crease in the top two thirds of the still 1" from the right edge (it only goes through the background area). There is a very faint scratch line through Gahagan's dress below her knees. There is tiny paper loss in. The back of the still has a printed snipe taped to the back that gives the stars name, the name of the play, and the theater name. Beneath the snipe is a stamped credit for "White Studios".
