An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the classic 1954 Michael Curtiz post-World War II sisters holiday singing-and-dancing romantic musical (with classic "Lyrics and music by Irving Berlin"; "The most fabulous music-and-mirth show in motion picture history!"; "Joyous entertainment for every season, any year!!!!") starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen, and Dean Jagger. Note that this was the first motion picture to be filmed in VistaVision! Also note that the title song "White Christmas" was first introduced in 1942 in the Fred Astaire/Bing Crosby movie "Holiday Inn", and it proved to be so popular that this movie was made, utilizing part of the plot of that earlier film, and reusing this song, which was now over a decade old, but it proved to be an even greater hit! It has tiny dots of slight discoloration scattered in several areas from exposure to moisture. They are mostly only noticeable in areas of white paper and around the edges (see our images). There is has tape stains in each corner, with some small paper loss at lower right due to rough removal. There are a few pinholes in each corner and there is some small blank paper at upper right with a small tear. There is a stray pencil mark in the first "V" of "VISTAVISION" at top. This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that many or most of the tiny stains can be removed chemically, and most of the other defects also affect areas of blank paper, so after proper restoration the poster will display well, but of course bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
