An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese "B1" Movie Poster (29x41; measures approximately 28 1/2" x 40 1/2") (Learn More) Gojira Tai Mekagojira (released in the U.S. in 1977 as "Godzilla vs. Bionic Monster" and as "Godzilla vs. Cosmic Monster", and exported to English-speaking countries from Japan as "Godzilla VS. Mechagodzilla"), the 1974 Jun Fukuda Japanese Toho kaiju battling rubbery monsters science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("See the Mighty Godzilla in a fight to the death with his mechanical double!"; "All new! Never seen before!"; "Godzilla fights his robot double to prevent destruction of Earth!") starring Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, Anguirus, King Caesar, Masaaki Daimon, Kazuya Aoyama, Reiko Tajima, Akihiko Hirata, and Hiromi Matsushita. Note that Universal (producers of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman) threatened to sue because of the word "bionic" in the U.S. title. The title was quickly changed to Godzilla vs. Cosmic Monster during it's first release run and remained the same when it was re-released in 1978. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has no identifying Japanese writing anywhere on it, and the only writing on it is in English. However, the poster is exactly the same size and is on exactly the same type of paper as Japanese posters (and this is not a size that we are aware was ever used for U.S. posters), so therefore we believe this is a Japanese poster. If anyone knows otherwise, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Japanese movie! Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good.
