Mulford's Borderland, the 1937 Nate Watt outlaw cowboy western (based on characters created by Clarence E. Mulford) starring William Boyd (as Hopalong Cassidy), James Ellison (billed as "Jimmy Ellison"), George 'Gabby' Hayes, Morris Ankrum (billed as "Stephen Morris"), and Charlene Wyatt NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. It seems that this poster was used in a country where they were offended by the large gun image at the center of the poster, because looking closely at the poster, you can see that there was clearly a snipe at one time over the entire gun! I know this was routinely done in Canada, and perhaps other countries as well. Otherwise, the poster had tiny surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines and pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The snipe on the poster was carefully removed, and you really are not distracted by the restoration in that area, although it is somewhat noticeable. Learn More about condition grades
