An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Joe Penner (born Jozsef Pinter) was a Hungarian actor and radio comic from the 1930s to the 1940s. He is completely forgotten today, except by film buffs, but starting in 1933, he had major success as a Jerry Lewis-like slapstick comedian (his trademark line was "Wanna buy a duck?"). Some of his movies include: The Boys from Syracuse, The Life of the Party, and Go Chase Yourself. He passed away in 1941 at the age of 36 from a heart attack Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Joe Penner! Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. About the Collection this Item Comes From Note that this item (and 37 others we are auctioning this week, each in its own auction) was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of these 38 autographed items we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic!
