Date Sold 5/19/2013 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 11 Rock Hudson 8x10 stills. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1960s to the 1970s. Rock Hudson was born in 1925. He was 6'4" (or was he 6'5"?) and he looked like a movie star, and it didn't take him long to become one. Some of his movie roles include: Giant, Seconds, and Ice Station Zebra. He appeared in around 70 movies, and starred in a TV series, McMillan & Wife, in the 1970s. He was gay at a time when one couldn't reveal that and continue in movies, and he had to hide that throughout his career (even having a sham marriage in the 1950s), until he got AIDS and could no longer hide it. When he publicly admitted that he had AIDS, it changed the public perception of the disease, and helped gain the funding and research that has led to so many advances in fighting it. Measurements: from approximately 7 3/4" x 9 1/4" to 8 1/4" x 10 1/4"Condition: good to very good. Most of the stills have a faint embossed foreign stamp in one corner and pinholes in all four corners (and some have conservation tape on the back of one or more corners).
