7 1918 Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More)

Madame Tallien (released in the U.S. in 1918 as "The Birth of Democracy" and released in England in 1924 as "Madame Guillotine"), the 1916 Italian silent war historical short melodrama ("An astounding spectacle of intense dramatic power"; "Over 5000 people in the cast"; about the French Revolution in 1789, and the "birth of democracy" in France at that time) starring Lyda Borelli, Renzo Fabiani, Amleto Novelli, Ettore Baccani, Ruggero Barni, Orlando Ricci, and Roberto Spiombi. Note that a knowledgeable collector tells us that "this Italian movie was falsely promoted as a 'Franco-American' production at the time, in order to disguise the fact that it was from an enemy nation during World War One!"
Important Added Info: Note that these are deluxe stills printed on double weight paper stock.

Condition: good to very good. The stills have varying degrees of wear around the edges, and some have pinholes. Someone wrote the word "France" or "French Revolution" in the lower left corner of each still.
