She first rose to stardom in TV's "Laugh-In" (her most memorable character was Ernestine the telephone operator). Some of her movies include: Nine to Five, I Heart Huckabees, Nashville (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), The Incredible Shrinking Woman, and she continues to appear in both movies and on television, currently on "Grace and Frankie" (in the title role as Frankie) with Jane Fonda.
