An Original 1967 Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Per un Pugno di Dollari (released in the U.S. in 1967 as "A Fistful of Dollars"), the classic 1964 Sergio Leone (billed as "Bob Robertson") German/Italian/Spanish spaghetti cowboy western action thriller ("In his own way he is, perhaps, the most dangerous man who ever lived!"; "'A Fistful of Dollars' is the first motion picture of its kind. It won't be the last!"; "He makes no friends - a few enemies - a few dollars - and none of them last!"; "This is the man with no name. Danger fits him like a tight black leather glove!"; "Introducing the man with no name! He's going to trigger a whole new style in adventure. This man with no name is played by Clint Eastwood."; "This short cigar belongs to the man with no name. This long gun belongs to the man with no name. This poncho belongs to the man with no name."; with music by Ennio Morricone; based on the classic Japanese Akira Kurosawa film "Yojimbo") starring Clint Eastwood, Gian Maria Volonte (billed on some items as "Johnny Wels"), Marianne Koch, Wolfgang Lukschy (billed as "W. Lukschy"), Sieghardt Rupp (billed as "S. Rupp"), Joe Edger, Margarita Lozano, and Jose Calvo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this six-sheet, and it sold for $4,001, in "good" condition! This poster has some more defects than that last example, so please read the condition description below carefully. There is something REALLY remarkable about this six-sheet! It has the images from the rare "teaser one-sheet" side by side with the image from the "regular" one-sheet, with the title and credits stretched across the bottom below the two images! We have never seen another six-sheet from any company or era that used two one-sheet images side by side! Also note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Also, note that there is considerable conflicting information about who created the art for this item. Some say Fred Otnes created the art, others say David Blossom, while others believe Mitchell Hooks, Ted CoConis, etc. If anyone has definitive proof about who created the art, please e-mail us and we will post that information here. Condition: fair to good. There are many pairs of staple holes around the edges of each section of the poster. There is an area in the right half, where the two sections join, where someone was very careless taking the poster down, and that caused tears and paper loss in that area (see our image for exactly where they are). There are also a much lesser amount of tears and creases on the rest of the borders. There are a number of faint smudges and stains scattered throughout the back of the poster, and some of that shows through to the front in varying degrees. There is small paper loss in the right of the top blank border. Any talented restorer can repair the above defects during the linenbacking process, and afterwards, the poster will display well, but bear this rare poster's defects in mind before bidding.
