eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result APE ('40) 6sh Appears in Hershenson Pressbook CollectionThe image at right is provided for reference purposes and we do not we have it available for purchase, nor do we know of anyone who does! The Ape, the 1940 William Nigh mad scientist horror thriller ("Suggested by the play by Adam Hull Shirk. Adaption by Curt Siodmak"; although his name this time is spelled "Kurt"; Siodmak must have had a real ape fetish, as he wrote most of the cheesy ape-type movies of the 1940s, including "Bride of the Gorilla", and many other B-horror movie classics!) starring Boris Karloff, Maris Wrixon, Gertrude Hoffman, Henry Hall, Gene O'Donnell, and Ray 'Crash' Corrigan (as the man in the really fake ape suit!). Note that Crash Corrigan made a REALLY wise investment in the 1930s, when he bought a "gorilla suit". In many of the movies in the 1940s where there is a fake gorilla, it is played by Crash Corrigan, no doubt because he could supply the suit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
