An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14" x 21 1/4" [36 x 54 cm]) (Learn More) James Bond 007 Film Festival, the 1975 poster advertising a James Bond 007 Film Festival release. We would think that different posters were printed for each of the movies included in this festival (with each poster having the same image, but a different James Bond title at the bottom or a blank area where a snipe could be added or the title could be written in). However, the only posters for this "film festival" that have surfaced are a 1975 poster with "Thunderball" printed in the bottom, and a 1976 poster (with a completely different image) with "Live and Let Die" printed in the top left, which seems very curious. We don't understand why we would have encountered so many examples of the two posters with only the two titles, although it may just be that we haven't seen any others yet. Note that the artwork from the circle in the center of the style A poster was taken from the 1970 "Viva James Bond!" film festival. If anyone knows more about this film festival, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that in 1975, there were James Bond 007 film festivals in various countries around the world. One of these was Belgium, which is where this poster is from. Note that this item contains a woman in see-through clothing, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had an extra fold across the middle near to the regular one, with some creases and surface paper loss on that fold. Its top blank area was folded back at one time and stapled. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
