An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More)

Marlene Dietrich was a very popular German actress and singer from the 1920s through the 1950s! She started in German movies in the 1920s, and then got her big break in Josef von Sternberg's "The Blue Angel", which was made in both a German and an English version. That led to a series of wonderful movies with von Sternberg. Some of her other movies include: Destry Rides Again, Shanghai Express, The Scarlet Empress, A Foreign Affair, Morocco (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Blonde Venus, Touch of Evil, Witness for the Prosecution, and Judgment at Nuremberg. She passed away in 1992 at the age of 90.
Important Added Info: Note that the still is dated 1939, which is when "Destry Rides Again" came out. The following year, "Seven Sinners" came out. This still would seem to be surely from one of the two movies, or from a publicity shot from between the movies. There is no still code on the picture, but it is from Universal Pictures. If anyone knows for sure what movie this is from, please e-mail us and we will post it here. In any event, it is a great image of Dietrich that I have never seen before!

Condition: very good. There are a few faint creases in the still (mostly around the edges), but they are truthfully only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light.
