An Undated (probably 1970s) Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 46 1/2" x 61" [118 x 155 cm]) (Learn More) Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo (released in the U.S. in 1968 as "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"), the classic 1966 Sergio Leone German/Italian/Spanish Civil War cowboy spaghetti western ("For Three Men The Civil War Wasn't Hell. It Was Practice!"; "Screenplay by Age-Scarpelli, Luciano Vincenzoni and Sergio Leone") starring Clint Eastwood (in the title role as The Good), Lee Van Cleef (in the title role as The Bad), Eli Wallach (in the title role as The Ugly; billed as "also starring Eli Wallach in the role of Tuco"), Aldo Giuffre, Mario Brega, Antonio Casas, Rada Rassimov, Aldo Sambrel, Enzo Petito, Luigi Pistilli, Livio Lorenzon, Al Mulloch, Sergio Mendizabal, Molino Rojo, and Lorenzo Robledo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Jean Mascii Important Added Info: Note that this movie was re-released in France in the 1970s, and the poster for this release (which is what is offered here) was extremely similar to the first release poster from 1968. There is one giant difference, which is that the printer information (in the lower left border) is printed on three lines on the original poster, but is printed on one line on this re-release. Also, the quality of printing is better and has more fine detail on the original (likely the re-release was either done from the same plates or done from the original poster). The re-release poster has many times been mistakenly sold as being from the first release, but the poster offered here is absolutely a 1970s re-release French one-panel! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had some minor fold and border wear. It appears that the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. Unfortunately, the owner of the poster displayed it, and the yellows and reds in the poster faded considerably, and it also acquired some scattered bits of surface paper loss. Obviously, the poster can still be displayed as it is, but please bear the above significant defects in mind before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
