An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Christmas in Connecticut, the 1945 Peter Godfrey post-World War II mistaken identity food cooking newspaper journalism romantic holiday comedy ("From an Original Story by Aileen Hamilton"; about a female newspaper columnist who pretends to be a homemaker and who runs recipes provided by her friend, but then her publisher decides to have a returning war hero spend Christmas at her home, eating her delicious home cooked meals, when actually, she can't do any of that, and she puts on a massive deception to fool everybody!) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan, Sydney Greenstreet, Reginald Gardiner, S.Z. Sakall, Robert Shayne, Frank Jenks, and Betty Alexander. Note that the IMDb says that this movie was released in England under the title of "Indiscretion", but we have seen a U.S. title card with that title. We wonder if Warner Bros. released it both ways (especially because it was a Christmas movie that oddly opened in August!). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has "TRR" running down the center. One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us!
