An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Four-Panel Movie Poster (4p; measures 76 1/4" x 105 1/4" [194 x 267 cm]) (Learn More)

L'Aigrette (literally translates to "The Egret"), the 1917 Baldassarre Negroni Italian silent romantic melodrama starring Ida Carloni Talli, Tullio Carminati, Andrea Habay, Hesperia, Diomira Jacobini, and Tilde Kassay. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. Given that the title bird is an ungainly stork-like creature, we would think this is used to describe the leading lady of the movie, but we were unable to find out anything about it other than the cast list above. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: T. Corbella
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Italian four-panel poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! This is an original Italian poster from before World War II. Virtually no pre-war Italian posters are known to have survived (probably because paper shortages in Italy during WWII resulted in almost all posters being recycled). Also note that this Italian four-panel measures 76 1/4" x 105 1/4" [194 x 267 cm]. Finally, note that this Italian four-panel was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: fair to good. The poster is extremely fragile and has darkening, separation, tears, and small paper loss on most folds and around the edges. Please bear this in mind before bidding.
