An Original Vintage Folded World War II Poster (measures 24" x 36" [61 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Carelessness Means Death, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) military equipment care conservation poster ("Take care of your gas mask! - Don't sit on it... It's not a Pillow - or a Knapsack!") featuring Sascha Maurer art of a gas mask with a broken lens and a skull behind it. Note that this poster was folded after it was created and has an area of red printed instructions on the back ("instructions for posting"), which gives much information about how this poster should be displayed and says that "this poster will be put up as soon as received, and will remain up for one month".
Artist: Sascha Maurer
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded like a U.S. one-sheet (this is how it was distributed to military bases; see above). It was once taped to a barracks wall with a piece of tape on the back of the top center of the poster and one piece each on the back of the bottom corners, and the tape was roughly removed, causing paper loss in those three areas (see our image). There are a few creases, scuffs, and smudges scattered in the poster.
