He is surely best remembered as the author of Psycho, but he also wrote many books and did the screenplays for some movies and TV shows. Bloch passed away in 1994 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Robert Bloch! Also note that this auction also includes the envelope this letter was originally mailed in! Our consignor was working at the School of Cinema-Television in Los Angeles and received this letter from Mr. Bloch, which was a response about a book idea that our consignor was considering. That idea eventually became one of the most classic movie poster books ever published, Ron Borst's 1992 book Graven Images: The Best of Horror, Fantasy, and Science-Fiction Film Art, and Robert Bloch agreed to contribute to it. Our consignor does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are 100% certain that the signature is authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
