An Original Vintage 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] News Photo (Learn More) Frank Sinatra (born Francis Albert Sinatra) was a legendary singer of the 1940s, who became a major movie star that same decade, and continued singing and acting for many years. Some of his movies include: many MGM musicals (some with Gene Kelly), as well as dramatic roles like The Man With The Golden Arm (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), The Manchurian Candidate, and From Here To Eternity (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film). He, along with his best friends, were known as The Rat Pack, and he was the inspiration for the "Johnny Fontaine" character in the Godfather movies! Sinatra passed away in 1998 at the age of 82. AND Lauren Bacall (born Betty Joan Perske) was a legendary actress and model from the 1940s to the 2010s. She was nicknamed "The Look" and married Humphrey Bogart after they starred in their first movie, To Have and Have Not, together. Bogart was decades older than she was, but their marriage lasted until he passed away in 1957, and they had two children together. Their movies together were: The Big Sleep, To Have and Have Not, Key Largo, and Dark Passage, and she made other movie appearances as well, including: The Mirror Has Two Faces (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Howl's Moving Castle (as the Witch of the Waste), and The Forger. She passed away in 2014 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this great news photo, which measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm], shows an important moment in movie history. Frank Sinatra idolized Humphrey Bogart and loved his wife Lauren Bacall, and after Bogart died, Sinatra romanced her and REALLY wanted her to marry him. A little over a year after Bogart died, Bacall agreed to marry him, but the wedding never took place. But this news photo is from when Louella Parsons announced their engagement! Condition: good to very good. The photo was used in a newspaper or magazine, and there are light crop marks in the right and top borders, showing which part of the image to reproduce.
