Gold-Zack was a German textile brand from 1934 to 2003. Tradition has it that the name originated when an employee discovered randomly stranded braids with a zigzag pattern. At his suggestion, a zig-zag pattern was woven into the elastic bands to symbolize an upscale quality, and this marketing idea helped the company to great success
