The Hat Box Mystery, the 1946 Lambert Hillyer detective mystery crime murder thriller ("When the headlines cry murder...they may be shrieking at YOU!"; "Like a Jack-in-theHatbox... murder jumped out and claimed its victim!") starring Tom Neal, Pamela Blake, Allen Jenkins, Virginia Sale, and Leonard Penn. Note that Screen Guild Productions originally intended to release this short movie as part of a double bill package with "The Case of the Baby Sitter", but at the last minute, they changed their minds and released them separately (even though this film is only 44 minutes long) a couple weeks apart. This type of film was known as a "streamliner", which was between a short and a feature in length (usually running from 42 to 47 minutes).

Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss and two tiny tears in the right blank border (repaired with tape from the back) and some red stains in the top left, but the card is otherwise in pretty good condition.
