An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Seventh Commandment, the 1932 Dwain Esper & James P. Hogan Hollywood California sexploitation bad teens drinking loose women melodrama ("A Dwain Esper Production Educational Smash Hit of 1933"; "It peeps into the average home!"; "Bare facts for the broad-minded!"; "Actually filmed in the B.B.B. Cellar Cafe, Hollywood, where wild youth makes whoopee and how! See the strip poker parties and learn what this young gin mad generation is coming to"; "Young America's most perplexing problem"; "the most startling revelation ever filmed!"; "With an all star cast"; about a small town boy in a big city who gets involved with loose women, drinking parties, and strip poker parties, and he ruins his life) starring Stuart James, George Le Maire Jr., and Victoria Vinton. Note that this movie opened in October of 1932, and there was a full color one-sheet for that release (but movie paper from this title is extremely rare). We have auctioned a four page herald that refers to the movie as the "smash hit of 1933", indicating that it surely was still playing for some part of 1933, and we have also auctioned a two color one sheet that refers to it as "the new 1934 talking sex picture". It maybe that the movie stayed in continual first release from late 1932 into 1934, and it is also possible that it was re-edited in 1934, and that it was given a re-release at that time. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and had the most minor of border defects.
