Parker"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; a re-make of George Arliss' silent movie of the same name from 1921; this was a biography of the famous English Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, who was the only English Prime Minister of Jewish birth, although he converted at age 12, and the movie revolves around his efforts to make sure England owned the Suez Canal) starring George Arliss (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Benjamin Disraeli, Joan Bennett, Florence Arliss, Anthony Bushell, David Torrence, and Doris Lloyd NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
